Information for Minors and Guardians

CrowOn is for people aged 13 and over. To keep users under 18 safe, we start them with stronger protections. Guardians, please read this page together with your child.

1. Age requirements

People under 13 cannot create an account.

If you are 13–17, get your guardian's permission first. We ask you to confirm this when signing up.

Enter your real date of birth. Accounts registered with a false age may be suspended.

2. Protections on by default

Private account: only people you approve can see your posts.

Messages: only from people you follow.

Location sharing: off at first, with Ghost mode on. When sharing, you choose who and for how long.

Night notifications: none between 22:00 and 7:00.

Communities you create cannot be "Anyone can join".

Recommendations: less sensitive content and fewer sponsored suggestions.

Paid features require guardian permission.

3. Staying safe

Always talk to a guardian before meeting someone you met online.

Don't send photos of yourself or information revealing your address or school to strangers.

If someone bothers you, block them and report them. They won't know you reported.

If you are struggling, you don't have to deal with it alone. In Japan you can call the 24-hour Children's SOS Dial (0120-0-78310).

4. For guardians

You can review your child's settings together in Settings, including daily usage reminders under Wellbeing.

To request deletion, disclosure or removal of your child's data, contact us via Feedback; we will verify you are the guardian.
