Advertising Terms
Effective November 7, 2026
These terms apply to anyone who runs ads from Ads Manager ("Advertiser"). They apply together with the Terms of Service and take priority for anything about ads.
1. Who can advertise
Advertisers must be 18 or older, or a business. If you sign up for a business, you confirm you have authority to act for it.
The advertiser name shown on your ad must truthfully identify the real advertiser.
2. Review
We review ads before they run, and again whenever their content changes.
We may decline an ad, with a reason, or stop an approved one. Approval does not mean we guarantee an ad is lawful.
3. Ads that are not allowed
Anything that breaks the law or the Community Guidelines; illegal products or services; tobacco, drugs, gambling, weapons or adult content; scams or misleading content; anything that infringes the rights of others.
False claims about results; links that do not match the ad; links to malware or fraudulent pages.
Content that asserts or implies personal attributes such as race, religion, health or sexual orientation.
4. Special categories and age
Ads about finance and credit, housing, jobs, or politics and social issues must select that category. They reach everyone 18 or older and cannot be narrowed by age or interests.
Political and social issue ads show the name of who paid for them. Alcohol ads reach people 21 or older only.
You must not advertise unsuitable products or services to people under 18, and you are responsible for setting an age range that complies with the law where the ad runs.
5. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for your ad, its link, your products and services, any permits, and compliance with advertising law, including rules on misleading and undisclosed advertising.
If your ad causes a dispute with a third party, you will resolve it at your own cost and compensate us for any resulting loss.
6. Charges
Charges are calculated at the price you set, by the method you choose (per click or per 1,000 views). Budgets are limits, but delays in counting may cause a small overrun.
We may exclude views and clicks we judge invalid, such as automated activity or repeats by the same person.
We do not guarantee views or results. Our records are the basis for counting.
Taxes: [To be added before public launch]
7. Balance and expiry
Ad charges come out of a prepaid balance. It can only be used for ads on CrowOn and cannot be transferred.
Balance expires 180 days after it is added, and the oldest balance is used first. We aim to notify you about 14 days before it expires.
8. Refunds
You can request a refund of unused, unexpired balance from Ads Manager for any reason. After checking, we refund it to the original payment method, less the actual processing fee paid to our payment provider.
No processing fee is deducted from refunds for duplicate charges or our own errors.
An amount under request cannot be spent on ads. If an ad is not approved, your balance stays and can still be refunded.
Views and clicks already delivered are not refunded, unless they resulted from our error or invalid delivery.
Expired balance lapses and cannot be refunded. This does not limit any rights you have by law.
If we stop your ads for breaking these terms, unused balance is still refunded, but we may hold it until an investigation ends if we suspect fraud or other illegal activity.
9. Measurement and data
Advertisers see totals only, never who saw or clicked an ad. Groups with few people are combined.
Ad links carry a click number (crclid) that does not identify a person. If you add conversion tracking, you are responsible for any notices and consent your own site requires.
10. Delivery and changes
We decide where, in what order and how often ads appear. Ads are labelled as ads, and viewers can hide or report them.
Ads Manager and these terms may change. We will give notice of important changes in advance.
11. Other terms
Disclaimers, limits of liability, governing law and dispute resolution follow the Terms of Service.
